A taster in performance driving on the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. At BMW, we only make one thing - Ultimate Driving Machines. With BMW Driving Experience you'll discover what they are truly capable of and acquire essential skills to enhance your safety skills and driving techniques.
Course content:
- Visually assisted lecture on safe driving techniques from the BMW Driving Experience team
- Steering technique and seating position
- Oversteer exercise
- Paced circuit laps

*Vehicle models used on the day are subject to availability, not all vehicles will be driven. All cars are linked by a two-way radio so our Instructors can talk to participants through the different exercises.

IN ADDITION TO THE GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT, PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Temperature checking will be undertaken on arrival.
- Face masks are compulsory in situations where you cannot keep the minimum safe distance from other people, or where requested to do so.
- Regular vehicle sanitation will be conducted.
BMW Driving Experience will supply a comfort pack that includes a face mask, gloves and hand sanitiser to assist participants.
Please be advised that we are regularly reviewing matters due to the fluid nature of the situation and will make any adjustments that are necessary.

Course Requirements
Participants must hold a valid unrestricted drivers’ license permitting the participant to drive the particular vehicle(s) used during the course. All participants must have motorcycle safety gear that meets the requirements listed below.
Gear available for hire, limited sizes and availability – please advise if required when booking.
Motorcycle Gear Information:
All participants must have the motorcycle safety gear that meets the below requirements. Riding Gear is available upon request, please advise on the booking form the items and sizes you require.
- Leather jacket and leather pants which fully zip securely together (no textile clothing permitted);
- Leather motorcycle boots (boots must come up to at least mid-calf height, have hard reinforced ankle support and overlap pants or pants must overlap boots, so as no skin or other clothing can be seen);
- Leather motorcycle gloves – gloves with carbon fibre or Kevlar knuckling and/or palms are strongly recommended (gloves must overlap jacket sleeves i.e. no wrist length gloves);
- Full-face helmet of minimum Australian AS1698 standards (or equivalent), be undamaged and in good condition with the visor correctly secured. Refer to manufacturer specifications for detailed information regarding safety issues such as, helmet age, correct fitting and usage, and recommended replacement criteria.
- Back protectors are not mandatory but strongly recommended.
Motorcycle License Information:
The minimum licence requirement to participate in the M Meets Motorrad Experience Event at Phillip Island Circuit are as follows:
Full Motorcycle Licence (issued by the road transport authority within your state/country). Please note: Phillip Island Circuit does not accept Learner’s Permits or Competition Licences. No Juniors allowed.
Students must hold the appropriate licence for the bikes that will be ridden on the circuit.
